FULL TIME CUSTODIAN

Position: Maintenance Team Custodian
Reports to: Facilities Director
Position Status: Full-Time
Department: Custodial

Position Summary:
A custodian plays an essential role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of church facilities, ensuring every day runs smoothly.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Sweep, mop, vacuum floors
2. Machine shampoo carpeting
3. Clean walls, vents, furniture, drinking fountains, light fixtures, and other interior fixtures
4. Wash interior and exterior windows and glass doors.
5. Sweep entryways (interior & exterior), and empty trashcans immediately outside building entrances
6. Maintain a clean environment at both the Pavilion and Soccer Fields
7. Clean restrooms, plunger sinks and toilets, and replenish supplies
8. Complete work requests to notify management of repair work needed
9. Organize and supply custodial closets as needed
10. Move, remove, and/or set up furniture, furnishings, supplies, equipment, and any other items, inside specified rooms for special functions as directed
11. Additional job-related duties as required by the supervisor and staff

Physical Responsibilities:

1. Lift up to 50 pounds
2. Ability to push, pull, stand, bend, stoop, and kneel
3. Walk up to 8 hours per day
4. Climb ladders, scaffolds up to 6' high, and stairs
5. Able to use basic hand tools
